Installation and Maintenance

Installation

Excavate a trench to the required depth and gradient.
Pour a level concrete bedding or prepare a compacted granular base.
Assemble and place the HDPE channel sections onto the prepared base.
Pour structural concrete haunching to support the channel sides.
Once the concrete has cured,place the steel grating panels onto the supporting ledger of the HDPE channel.
The surrounding pavement or floor finish is completed up to the edge of the grating.

Maintenance

Regularly sweep or use a vacuum truck to remove debris accumulated on the grating.
Periodically lift grating panels (if removable) to flush out sediment from the HDPE channel with water.
Inspect grating for any damage or excessive corrosion. Galvanized grating can be touch-up painted; stainless steel typically requires only cleaning.
Check the integrity of the channel and supporting concrete periodically.
